Brad M. Thies
Phoenix Attorney
Brad was born and raised in a small rural community in Nebraska. After
deciding early on he wanted to pursue a legal career, he attended Dana
College in Blair, Nebraska, where he obtained degrees in Psychology and
Business Management. Following his acceptance to the University of Nebraska,
College of Law, he was hired for an internship with a local criminal defense
attorney who relied on him to perform all legal research and briefing
involving a variety of procedural and constitutional criminal issues.
While at the University of Nebraska, College of Law, Brad placed 1st in
the Allen Moot Court Competition receiving the award for best brief with
the finals of the competition determined by three members of the Nebraska
Supreme Court. During his third year of law school, the University of
Nebraska, College of Law approved him as a Senior Certified Law Student
granting him the ability to practice law under the supervision of a licensed
attorney. During that time, Brad attended and participated in numerous
hearings and oral arguments in the county and federal trial courts and
briefed and argued an appeal in the Nebraska Court of Appeals. Upon graduation
from the University of Nebraska, College of Law, Brad relocated to Arizona
where he was admitted to practice law in 2001.
Since being admitted to practice in Arizona, Brad has accumulated valuable
experience and knowledge in a number of diverse areas of civil litigation.
Brad has counseled and represented individuals, small businesses, and
large corporate entities in litigation and potential litigation in traditional
state and federal court venues, arbitration forums, administrative hearings,
as well as the appeals process.
Brad believes quality advocacy and a strong attorney-client relationship
are of paramount importance when dealing with contested legal matters
that can be stressful, adversarial, and complex. In order to develop and
maintain these constructive relationships, Brad’s approach involves
working closely with clients to resolve existing issues by offering aggressive,
reasonable, and economically feasible solutions, as well as providing
advice on the implementation of practices and procedures that will help
clients limit potential exposure and future legal disputes. Clients who
work with Brad know and trust that he has their best interests in mind
when developing strategies to evaluate and resolve legal issues, whether
that means early settlement discussions, additional investigation and
discovery, dispositive motions to narrow or eliminate issues, or, ultimately,
trial or other alternative forms of final adjudication.
Brad enjoys spending time with his family (wife and dogs) and also undertaking
the occasional home improvement project to utilize his prior construction
experience. Being born and raised in Nebraska, Brad also enjoys college
football season and, in particular, cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
